AECDR: Commissioner Tzitzikaitis’ Hearing – The Need for Climate-Neutral Fuels in All Transport Sectors
Today’s hearing of Commissioner Tzitzikaitis will tackle a critical point for the future of European Transport: Climate-neutral fuels shouldn’t be limited to just the maritime and aviation sectors. For Europe to truly meet its ambitious targets for heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs) and achieve sustainable mobility across the board, one needs to ensure these fuels are part of the available solutions for the entire transport sector. Climate-neutral fuels are a powerful complement to electrification, offering an immediate way to reduce emissions across the existing HDV fleet and beyond. Feel free to read the AECDR’s detailed position on this matter https://lnkd.in/eG__Zq-W which highlights the need for a diverse energy mix to support a sustainable and competitive transport sector.
