Revision of the Roadworthiness Package

The European Commission has presented a revision of the “Roadworthiness Package” in the Transport Committee of the EU Parliament. Its aim is to improve road safety, reduce environmental impacts and prevent manipulations such as tachometer fraud. The core of the proposal is the revision of three directives on technical vehicle inspections, roadside checks, and vehicle registries:
